Was the Tesla Roadster Demo Real or AI?

Updated October 17, 2026

Check the original source of the specific clip. A vertical format, calm driver or clean soundtrack is not enough to prove that a video is AI-generated.

Trace the original upload

Find the earliest attributable version, its caption and any editing or AI disclosure. Compare it with the publisher’s original footage rather than a repost.

Separate the event from the remix

A report about a vehicle announcement does not verify every later stunt clip. Treat moon landings and fictional driving scenes as creative concepts, and label your own generated work clearly.

Inspect details without treating them as proof

Look for inconsistent wheels, changing panels, discontinuous reflections and mismatched sound. Compression and editing can also create artifacts, so these are reasons to investigate, not a final verdict.

Make a clearly labeled parody

Make an obviously AI Ramp Flip from one photo of your car, and label it as AI when you post. Kickflip, Day 1 and Make My Car Fly are coming soon. Or read the Roadster AI video prompt guide.

Skip the re-rolls

One whole-car photo in, a Ramp Flip video out.
